About the event
On tour from Nashville ~ The songs are just as much influenced by the Misfits or Danzig as they are Johnny Cash or Dolly Parton; to put a finer point on it, Karly Driftwood is a potent mixture of equal parts Sylvia Plath and The Drive-By Truckers.
Famous Exchange is a band of sonic alchemists whose story begins well over a decade ago. Ladi Ladi (Guitar/Vocals) and MJ (Marcus J. Alexander) (Bass) began their friendship and music making ventures in 2008. They both evolved their musicianship several times over the course of different projects. Upon returning from a year in Nepal, Ladi approached MJ about some new music and through a bit of luck, met Sallie Mood (Riley O'Riley) (Vocals/Ukulele). Thus, Famous Exchange was born.
Soul/Rap artist based in Dallas TX, Ravs uses her electric guitar, soulful voice, and rap flow, giving a new meaning to self-discovery.
Emerging Folk/Americana artist whose Deep East Texas roots tint his original works. With a voice like “smoked butter”, the hopeless romantic sings about his experiences, dreams, and his faith. His music shows vulnerability and redemption on the same plain, and has been described as ‘raw’, ‘soulful’ and ‘adhesive.’
