About The Artist

"In the past, we’ve been good at calling winners. We called Sturgill, Tyler Childers, and Colter Wall. We’re calling it next for Karly Driftwood." - FARCE THE MUSIC

“Eddie’s Attic Songwriter Top 3 finalist, Karly Driftwood, has one of the most intriguing and original backstories. As an only child raised in Mechanicsville, VA, Karly spent most of her time alone and found a friend in music. She started writing her own songs and decided she would turn her dream into a reality one day. After graduating high school early, she went to mortuary school. In one day, she'd work in the mortuary lab, write songs on lunch break, and work late nights in strip clubs to be able to save up to move to Nashville. In 2016, she finally left for Tennessee. In 2019, she released her debut single Too Mean To Die. The album was engineered by Jake Clayton & Rob Daniels (Tanya Tucker, Brandi Carlile, Sunny Sweeney), mixed by Steve Blackmon (Josh Turner, Justin Moore, Black Shelton), and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Drake, Rihanna, Jay-Z). It's sweet, bitter, bright, and darkly comedic all at the same time. Since then, she has opened up for acts such as Lucero, Chuck Ragan, and Cory Branan, etc.
