Johnny G (Boats Against the Current) 8:00 pm

Johnny G is a singer songwriter who recently moved to the Dallas area and has recorded 4 albums, 3 of which were with his current band - Boats Against the Current from the East Coast.

His first album "Angels" recorded with the band Blue Daze featured tremendous bass talent Joel Sucherman, brother of Styx drummer Todd Sucherman. Having formed Boats Against the Current during 2008 and 2009, Johnny G is the primary songwriter and lead singer.

The song "America (Land of the Brave)" received some radio airplay and was written to memorialize Johnny's experiences on and after 9/11.

The album "The Journey" was a walk thru one man's journey out of a dark pit into the light. It is honest, transparent, and deep. But the album also has some tremendous nuggets including the vocals on the song Faith, and piano blues from Nashville recording artist Kevin McKendree.

The soon-to-be-released 4th album "Love Hold Me" is Johnny G’s best effort yet, and features deeper writing, soulful music and vocals, and a number of great tunes.
