Jeff Ruby grew up on a farm in rural Indiana. His oldest brother introduced him to American and British rock music from the 60's. Ruby was introduced to stage performance at 6 years old when asked to take a role in a high school play. Ruby continued to act and sing in musicals and choirs. Ruby would first take up the guitar late in high school.
Investing became a dueling interest for Ruby and he earned a degree in business from Indiana University. He chose songwriting and performing over investing and recently released his fourth album, Battlefield in 2016.
