About the event
Folk-leaning Texas Americana artist Stephanie Sammons writes down-to-earth songs that are both moody and fiercely intelligent. Her songwriting blends natural imagery with rich, narrative reflection and stirring melodic lines. Sammons has studied with songwriting masters Mary Gauthier, Emily Saliers, Beth Nielsen Chapman, and other Grammy-nominated artists. Her first full-length album ‘Time and Evolution’ was produced by Mary Bragg and is out in May 2024. Sammons was recently named a 2024 Kerrville New Folk Finalist, and Glide Magazine dubbed her a “songwriter to watch.”
