About the event
Baylis Laramore: Grew up listening to mid ‘60s-‘late ‘70s folk and rock, and current Americana songwriters. He’s been told he sounds like Dylan. Maybe a version of Dylan who enunciates. Some of Baylis’s songs have a sense of melancholy but sometimes humor creeps into his work. Other influences include Jackson Browne, James Taylor and Rodney Crowell. Baylis was a semi-finalist in the B.W. Stevenson Songwriting Contest at Poor David’s Pub in 2021 and a finalist in 2022.
Heather Hatchett: Heather considers herself to be more of an abstract artist. Finding her sound slowly and authentically over the years. She leans on words, feelings and likes to explore interesting and unconventional flows in words and voice. Influences are Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Alela Diane, Martha Wainwright and Robert Hunter. Heather was a semi-finalist in the B.W. Stevenson Songwriting Contest at Poor David’s Pub in 2022.
