Message: Hey everyone, it's Montrose. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to the show at Brooklyn Jazz Café Wednesday. I've received a bunch of emails and we'll be posting your comments in next month's newsletter. Thanks to owner Lorna Tate for having us there. She is such a sweet lady and a class act. Some of the other club owners in town could really learn a thing or two from Lorna at Brooklyn and Pascale at Standard and Pours about how to treat the musicians performing at their establishments! Okay, off my soapbox.ha, ha. Speaking of Standard and Pours, we'll be there next week. I'll be performing an acoustic set with Rhonda Nicole and we'll be opening for special guest, Collective Hallucination! This is their first show in Dallas so come show them some love. They're stopping through Dallas on their way to Texarkana to play at the annual Jump, Jive and Jam Festival, where they'll be sharing the bill with Grammy award winning trio Los Lonely Boys! Message: I have to tell ya.last night was wildly successful at Standard & Pours. The place was packed.and I mean PACKED! Last night's show was the kind of show that makes a booking agent, a venue owner and a music promoter proud. Both bands did an excellent job promoting the show. Both bands brought in almost a standing-room-only crowd. Both bands were awesome. TFG is doing even more pro bono work for TexasGigs by adding a couple of new pages where you can listen and/or download the live performances and interviews! Thanks to all who tuned up last night.we love you!
